Memories and a dark fantasy
Memories and dreams
You are one of those mysteries Those itches, buried underneath the skin Those images that make the heart skip so many beats Something you wish You could forget __ but it stays with you In wakefulness or in dream A thing you fear has become a part of your life stream In spite of how much you fought to overcome it
You are that prized doll in the hand Of that poor deprived girl, that kid You are that sun that burns away the cold On those days that are so frigid You are that love that is lacked by so many You are the jolt that makes a dead heart start beating
You are the reason why lustful men Put aside their sad filthy histories You are queen, the personification of an African beauty You are one of the few I am not afraid to tell my deepest stories You are a thought I can't seem to afford to part with
The essence of love makes more sense as I gaze on your full lips Your eyes are twin pools a man will want to bathe in for eternity. I love you with a fire capable of frying tempered steel Many nights you rob me of treasured sleep Now that all's said Let me enshroud myself in sweet peace Think of me __ in your quiet moments As you float on calm peaceful seas.
